The
combination of two hearts
to form the stunning
"Lindy Heart"
is an original design by
Wynn and Lindy Bell of Final
Touch Balloons,
Portland, OR, USA. The
beautiful piece was a
feature for their Wedding
Decor class at the 2003
International Balloon
Arts Convention (IBAC).
The outer heart is made
of imprinted clear
balloons on a hand bent
metal frame. Wynn took
special care that the
form of the outer heart
complimented the shape of
the inner heart. The gold
balloons are included for
accent and to visually
bind the outer heart to
the gold suspended inner
heart.
The
inner heart is a 2' RMS
Heart which has been
sprayed painted gold and
then filled with
underinflated 5"
gold balloons.
In
class, the Bells enhanced
the look of the
"Lindy Heart"
by placing it behind a
head table. For greater
impact, tulle swags to
left and right balloon
clusters, horizontially
expanded the design.
Miniature lights added
even more asthetic value
to the wedding vignette.
