FIB Tunnel

This "T" shaped tunnel was the entrance to the final night party at an international balloon convention in Athens, Georgia, USA sponsored by Flowers, Inc, Balloons (FIB). The 20 foot by 20 by 8 foot tall foot structure was a "Time Tunnel" with photos of historic people, places and events mounted on the walls.

It took about (550) 18 inch round Micro Foil balloons installed in 12 RMS Super Builders to complete the project. The entrance to the tunnel was trimmed with #260 balloons and Micro Foil stars.

The tunnel was generally self-supporting, but the ground edges of the RMS framework were taped to the floor and several bases with short vertical poles were added at critical points to reinforce the structure against bumps from guests.
