This
modular section of exploding
balloon wall is a little over 9
feet wide by 7 feet tall. The
large yellow balloons are
underinflated 36 inch balloons.
The blue ones are 24 inch
balloons tied in pairs. One
balloon of each pair is visible
on the front while the second is
hidden on the other side of the
wall.
An
expandable and collapsible
plastic framework called ROSA
holds the balloons in place. The
framework also protects one
balloon from exploding
prematurely should its neighbor
break. When the balloons are
exploded, the framework collapses
to the floor, and may be easily
pulled off to one side with an
attached line.
